Texas Annual Report

Every year the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts sends out a reminder about the reporting responsibility each non-exempt business in Texas has. Each entity is required to file their Annual Report by May 15th to remain in good standing with the state. In previous years this report was known as the Franchise Tax Report. This report serves to inform the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts of what taxes, if any, your company may owe to the state. It also allows for an annual, free way to update your company information ranging from the address associated with it to the governing persons listed publicly. If the business is reporting under the revenue threshold then no taxes would be due. This threshold changes from year to year and most recently was $2.47 Million revenue for 2024, as well as for 2025.

To file an Annual Report, some pieces of information are needed:

  • The Webfile Number. This is issued by the state upon formation of your business and is mailed to the mailing address on file every year
  • The Total Gross Revenue from the previous year
  • Any information updates including mailing and principal address and governing person names, titles or addresses

How does it work?

Once we have the filing information we will file the Annual Report for your business. A confirmation copy of the filing will be emailed to you instantly once the filing is completed with the state.

Our Annual Report filing for $75 includes:

  • Verification that previous reports have been filed
  • Instant filing confirmation upon submission to the state
  • Follow-up for any discrepancies in the filing before submission
